Some countries, such as Germany or Scandinavian countries, have long had near-total reimbursement policies. Others, like the United States, rely on a mix of public and private insurance, with very heterogeneous coverage conditions.
By opting for 100% coverage, France is positioning itself among the most advanced countries in terms of social coverage for mobility equipment. This comparison allows for contextualizing the reform and evaluating the trajectory of French social policy compared to other models. The experience of these countries shows that the success of these policies largely depends on the fluidity of administrative processes and the ability of the healthcare system to adapt to demand.
