Some people asked me: “Christophe, why did you leave a prestigious position as a rehabilitation physician, head of department, to dive into everyday problems — schedules, care assistants, administrative paperwork?”
The answer is simple: because that is where autonomy truly plays out.
At the hospital, I witnessed remarkable progress. But at home, I saw that progress collapse due to lack of organization. And I realized my role could be more useful where everything is at stake: in the daily lives of families.
Today, with Jamacare, I am present at that crossroads. I help set up care assistants, install teleassistance, handle the administration, and coordinate the whole system. Kinexa’s technologies will soon strengthen this work, but right now, I am here.
I have not abandoned my medical vocation. I have expanded it. I believe it is time to recognize autonomy coordination as a discipline in its own right, requiring medical, organizational, and human skills. And I am proud to contribute to it.
